We flew into Little Rock so that we could head over to Memphis, Tennessee and visit Graceland (Elvis' home). It's a two hour and 15 minute drive from between Little Rock Airport along Interstate 40 to 3764 Elvis Presley Blvd. in Memphis. Graceland is the third-most visited house in the United States (Websites: http://www.elvis.com/ and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graceland and http://www.elvis.com/graceland/ ). Once at Graceland, you take an audio tour of the main floor and basement. The bathroom where he died is on the second floor and is not available (along with the entire second floor) to visit. You do get to see his media room in the basement and the 'Jungle Room'. Other parts of the tour include a 'Trophy Room' and Elvis' gravesite. We felt that it was worth the visit. After our visit, we headed back into Memphis for dinner. Memphis has a wide and varied food scene. Here's a website: http://www.memphisrestaurants.com/for a variety of restaurants. Memphis is well-known for its barbecue. Here's three different barbecue restaurants featured on the Food Channel's "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives": Cozy Corner Restaurant (Website: http://www.cozycornerbbq.com/ ), Tom's Barbecue and Deli (Website: http://www.tomsbarbq.com/ ), and Marlowe's Restaurant (Website: http://marlowesmemphis.com/ ). We had a great meal at Marlowe's. Afterwards, we headed to BB Kings for some music & late night drinks (Website: http://www.bbkingclubs.com/index.php?page=memhome ). BB Kings is located on Beale Street, which has a lot of fun clubs to visit. Here's a website for Beale Street: http://www.bealestreet.com/wordpress/ . The Beale Street Motto is "Home of the Blues...Birthplace of Rock and Roll". Here's a website for other tourist attractions in Memphis: http://www.memphistravel.com/. We got our hotel through Hotwire. It was the Westin Memphis Beale Street, which made our evening enjoyable because we didn't need to drive or walk very far. The following morning we slept in, had a light snack and headed back to Little Rock. In downtown Little Rock we stopped at Boscos Restaurant and Brewing Company (Website: http://boscosbeer.com/littlerock/story/ ) for Sunday Brunch. I'm sure that Little Rock has a lot to offer (Attractions website: http://littlerock.about.com/od/thingstodo/tp/aatpattractions.htm ). Maybe we'll try it for our next trip!

F9 flies into the Bill & Hillary Clinton National Airport (Website: http://www.fly-lit.com/ ),
it is only a few minutes from downtown,
i.e., Clinton Blvd. (Are you getting the picture?).
There are no Elephants in the zoo, only donkeys and a few mules.
The crosswalks are great; they loudly count down
for you 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 and then yell STOP.
Have to go to the President Clinton Museum/Library; cost $130 million to build (Website: http://www.clintonlibrary.gov/ ).
Ex-President Clinton has a penthouse on top with a great view of
the Arkansas River. On the 5th floor is a full-size replica of the Oval Office.
He was born in Hope with a last name Blyth;
Clinton is his step-father's name. Had a dog Buddy and cat Boots.
Eats: Don't miss Doe's Place (Website: http://doeseatplace.net/ );
but don't walk there at night.
I had a 3 1/2 pound T-Bone steak and local beer.
Also, have to go to Gus's World Famous Hot & Spicy Chicken (Website: http://gusfriedchicken.com/ ).
They serve white bread only, with greens and slaw.
The outside sign says " Speciality - Chicken" ya think.
A dessert must is Chess pie (no clue what's in it).
Did you ever wonder from whence the name Little Rock came ?
Well: a long time ago (even before I was born), the founder
was leaving a vigilanti meeting where she (Hillary) was being pressured
to come up with a town name. Her horse (yes - Billy) was startled
by a meteor that knocked her into a mud puddle.
She poured two canteens of water on the meteorite to cool it, picked it up,
and screamed "Don't fret, it's only a LITTLE ROCK".
Is this a true story or an old OTH (Over The Hill) Scout yarn ?
